Mathieu Constantin was born in 1987 in Switzerland. He started playing the guitar at the age of 7 in the class of Mr. Christian Tille at the conservatory of Sion. In 2005, he obtained the amateur guitar certificate with the mention "Excellent". That same year he participated in the Swiss Youth Music Competition, where he won the first prize.
In August 2005 he started professional classes with Mr. George Vassilev, he obtained the teaching diploma in 2009.
He completed the Master of Performance in the same class in June 2011.
He currently teaches guitar at the Conservatoire Cantonal de Sion and at the Haute Ecole Pédagogique de St-Maurice. In addition to his teaching activities, Mathieu Constantin is very interested in several subjects, in particular the composition of pedagogical repertoire. He is the author of a guitar method and more than 200 didactic pieces.
